How long does a USD transfer take?
With ACH, USD transfers may take 24-48 business hours to reflect in the recipient account. While Push To Card transfers are instant.
What information is required to send money to a bank in the USA?
You’ll need the recipient's account name, number, routing number and valid address.
What is the exchange rate for today?
Sign in to your app and tap Rate at the bottom of the screen. The current exchange rates will be displayed for you.
Can I transfer USD to a USD account?
Yes, you can transfer USD to another USD account. However, the recipient’s USD account must be domiciled in the United States.
What are the supported deposits?
Self-payments directly from your bank account into your virtual account.
Payments from registered businesses for freelance work, services, or payroll.
Third-Party Payments.
It costs $3 to create a USD virtual account. But free if you’re in the US.
How can I set up a USD virtual account?
Sign in to your CadRemit app
Tap Deposit.
Tap USD.
Choose your primary purpose, expected platform, and monthly amount, then tap Continue.
Choose the wallet to debit ( CAD, Euro or NGN) and tap Request Account.
Creating a virtual account requires a valid international passport, permanent residency card, or driver's license.
Anyone can deposit into your USD wallet. But the deposit must come from an account domiciled in the US.
Transfers from the USD wallet are allowed to accounts domiciled in the USA.
Please note that our USD account is a checking account. You can send and receive USD at all times.
Can I receive international wires from any country into my account?
Please note that your USD account is only eligible to receive ACH deposits or domestic wire transfers from accounts domiciled in the United States.
What are my USD account limits?
The maximum amount for third-party individual party deposits is $4,000. And there’s no limit for third-party deposits from organisations. Please take note of the following sending limits:
1. Daily limit: $5,000 USD.
2. Weekly limit: $10,000 USD.
3. Monthly limit: $20,000 USD.
Please note that transfer limits are wallet-based. This means that even when you have exceeded your USD transfer limit, you can still send money from your other wallets that are funded and the limits have not been exceeded.
What is FedNow?
FedNow is an instant payment service in the United States that allows you to transfer USD and receive it in real time directly into your USD virtual account.
FedNow payments are processed instantly, while ACH transfers may take several business days to arrive, depending on your sending bank’s processing times.
Yes, you can now receive payments sent through FedNow directly into your USD virtual account, as long as the sender’s bank supports FedNow.
How long does it take for a FedNow payment to reflect in my account?
FedNow payments are typically processed and credited instantly, making them significantly faster than traditional ACH transfers; however, delays may happen depending on the sending bank's processing time.
Should I choose FedNow or ACH when receiving USD payments?
If the sender’s bank supports FedNow, we recommend using FedNow for faster settlement. If FedNow is not available, ACH transfers can still be used.
Are there any additional requirements to receive FedNow payments?
No additional steps are required on your end. Simply provide your USD virtual account details to the sender and confirm that their bank supports FedNow payments.
